2025 Scholarship Applications Are Now Open!
Children and grandchildren of Farm Credit of Western Arkansas members can now apply for up to $40,000 in scholarships.
The Farm Credit of Western Arkansas Scholarship Program is proud to support the next generation of leaders in agriculture and beyond. Since 1996, we’ve awarded over $400,000 to talented students pursuing higher education, and this year, we’re doubling down on our commitment to make a difference.
We’re excited to announce that up to $40,000 in scholarships will be awarded for the 2025 academic year—a significant increase aimed at helping even more students achieve their dreams.
By increasing the total scholarship amount, we’re able to have a larger impact on the young leaders who are shaping the future. We’re proud to invest in their education and their potential."
Scholarship Details
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current member, or the child or grandchild of a current Farm Credit of Western Arkansas member with an active loan as of December 1, 2024.
- Be a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or trade program for the 2025-26 academic year.
- Current students must have at least one year before graduation.
- Previous recipients may apply again, but scholarships are limited to a maximum of two awards per individual.
- Immediate family members of Farm Credit of Western Arkansas employees and directors are not eligible for this program.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients are selected by an independent committee based on the following:
- School, sport, and agriculture activities and leadership
- Community and volunteer activities
- Career goals
- Academic performance (minimum 2.5 GPA)
- Financial need (if applicable)
- A recommendation letter from a teacher, agriculture sponsor, or non-relative familiar with the applicant’s character

Application Deadline: March 3, 2025
Awards will be mailed to recipients upon confirmation of fall 2025 enrollment in August.
