MANRRS Empowers Future Leaders in Agriculture and Natural Resources
Celebrating Farm Credit VIP Scholars at the 2025 MANRRS National Conference
The 39th Annual MANRRS Training Conference and Career Expo took place in Memphis, Tennessee, April 2-6, 2025. This highly anticipated event brought together students and professionals in agriculture, food, natural resources, and related sciences to engage in educational training, networking, and career development opportunities.

Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) is a national organization dedicated to promoting academic and professional advancement for underrepresented groups in these fields. Through mentorship, leadership development, and career opportunities, MANRRS fosters a diverse and inclusive environment for students and professionals alike.
Each year, Farm Credit partners with MANRRS to recognize outstanding students through the Farm Credit VIP Scholarship program. This competitive scholarship provides recipients with a monetary award, travel compensation to attend the MANRRS conference, and exclusive access to the Farm Credit VIP track, which offers leadership development and networking with industry professionals.
Among the 2025 VIP Scholars is Kelvin Rivera from the University of Arkansas and Rose Gunther from Arkansas Tech University.

"The MANRRS National Conference and the Farm Credit VIP Scholars program were incredibly insightful, especially in exposing us to the many career paths within agriculture and related industries,” Gunther said.
“Beyond networking, the experience helped us gain real skills—from communication to critical thinking—that will help us face professional challenges with more confidence and clarity. It reminded me that leadership grows through opportunity, connection, and stepping out of your comfort zone."
The MANRRS National Conference continues to be a beacon of opportunity for students and professionals alike. With Farm Credit’s commitment to fostering talent and MANRRS’ dedication to diversity and inclusion, the future of agriculture and natural resources is in capable hands.
